Here is a stack of wood that will eventually be walls:
In the background are houses that are almost done. Their foundations went in this fall. I haven't been inside of any of them, but it looks like all the exterior needs is siding and front steps.
And here is the foundation-- it doesn't look finished, does it?
Amanda, I am the first commenter on your blog! Your house-building sounds like it will be a great adventure, and it sounds like a cool community too. As you may know, I am a foundations girl, so keep me posted with pictures. I love that stuff. But it's good they are waiting until spring because placing concrete on frozen ground would be bad news. Good luck!
Wow, Amanda! That's really exciting!!! Laying down roots in general is a big step; but to be committing to building something - literally from the ground up - is awesome!!
